This superb site on a five-acre smallholding offers exclusive glamping between two gorgeous yurts – perfect for a family adventure in the Gloucestershire countryside.
Campden Yurts is a little piece of pastoral heaven, set on the edge of the popular market town of Chipping Campden and surrounded by rolling meadows. As well as the two beautiful yurts to discover, you’ll find all you require for a fun family holiday or relaxing mini-break for two, meaning all you need to bring is your clothing, your groceries, and yourselves!
The yurts – two 18ft, fully furnished wonders – are large enough for a family of four or five, depending on how big your little ones are. Marvellously spacious, yet beautifully cosy, waterproof canvas hugs the incredible wooden frame, topped off with a stargazing window above. Buttercup Yurt also allows your four-legged friends to join on a canine glamping adventure!
A sumptuous king or double bed is perfect for parents, while children can spread out between the two comfy futons, which double as daytime sofas. Crisp fresh linen, country-style cushions, snuggly throws and sheepskin rugs add a homely touch, sure to induce sweet dreams all night long.
The touches of home continue with the colourful woven rugs, coffee tables and homemade cake or treat which greet you on arrival. A wood-burning stove heats the whole yurt, keeping everybody warm if the mercury dips, and a handy two-ring gas hob is ideal for a cup of tea or cafetière of fresh coffee. For ultimate privacy, each yurt also comes with its own bathroom, featuring a shower, basin and flushing toilet.
Everything you need to whip up campsite culinary delights is found in the utility room, including crockery, cutlery and all your pots and pans. This is also where you’ll find your own fridge and food storage area, as well as a microwave and washing-up facilities.
And when it comes to cooking, you’re certainly not short of choices. For convenience you’ll find a gas cooker and hob in the shared cook hut, while traditionalists can cook anything from sizzling sausages to molten marshmallows on the campfire. And then there’s ‘Bob’ the cob pizza oven for irresistibly crisp pizzas the whole family will love.

What the guests of Campden Yurts say
“The Yurts are very cosy and spacious and the log burner makes it extra
special and toasty warm. Having your own bathroom facilities is great and
shower room is so big and roomy. Jane the host couldn’t be more friendly and
there for your every need she had baked us a lemon drizzle cake for when we
arrived which was delicious and gave that extra personal touch to our
stay.”
“First visit to not only Campden but staying in a yurt. We’ll will
definitely be visiting again. Jane was very welcoming and the yurts had
everything you could need. Very comfortable sleeping and thoroughly enjoyed my
early morning cuppa listening to the countryside and sitting in the sun. Heaven!
Thank you Jane. Look forward to seeing you again.”
“Had the deepest sleep in the wonderful womb-like luxury of a beautiful
yurt. Supreme comfort and stars above – you can’t ask for more than that! Jane
is the perfect host and it felt like a real privilege to wake up in such
magical surroundings.”
