Uniquely mesmerising, Lancashire’s Ribble Valley is steeped in heritage, magnificent scenery, and gastronomic delight.

Not only did the renowned author JRR Tolkien discover a wealth of creative inspiration in Ribble Valley, but the Queen herself once described a yearning to retire there one day.

Bowland Retreat Lodges is perfectly positioned in this magnificent part of the world, between the historic market town of Clitheroe, and the chocolate box village of Whalley, with the Forest of Bowland AONB right on its doorstep. Here you’ll find a sumptuous collection of retreats, for holidays that demand an extra helping of luxury.

A dedicated, family-run site, the friendly owners have seen to it that each individually styled lodge is equipped with everything you’ll need for a relaxing break, and much more besides.

Not only will you be greeted with gleaming, high-end kitchen and bathroom facilities, but you can look forward to soaking in your Jacuzzi hot tub by sunset, bubbles in hand, after a long day of exploring (or doing absolutely nothing… you decide!)

Perry, Marlow, and Kiri each sleep 2 guests, making them perfect for that romantic getaway you’ve been promising yourselves.  Featuring an indulgent freestanding bathtub, a huge walk-in shower, and impossibly scenic al fresco decking, you’ll never want to leave.

Ideal for up to 4 guests, Rue, Oakley, Orchid and Nash each feature two plush superking beds with elegant ensuite facilities (book Oakley if you’d like to make one of the rooms into a twin, instead.) Enjoy morning coffee out on the decking, before an evening soak in that bubbling hot tub… what bliss!
