Bolt Farm Treehouse is a luxurious, eco-friendly treehouse hidden among 40 acres of tranquillity, in beautiful Oconee County, South Carolina. Built by Seth Bolt and his father Larry as an enchanting sanctuary for their family, they soon decided this beautiful hideaway was too good a secret to keep! Today, guests come from far and wide to experience this truly stunning, hand-built creation where opulent grandeur and rustic charm blend in a perfect combination you’ll remember for a lifetime.
Set in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, surrounded by forests, water and jaw-dropping scenery, Bolt Farm Treehouse welcomes two guests at a time to spend unforgettable nights in total privacy. Ideal for single travellers, perfect for best friends, and simply superb for couples, this exquisitely finished abode will have you reeling in wonder at every tiny, thoughtful detail.
Set upon on stilts among towering trees, Bolt Farm Treehouse features a beautifully spacious living and sleeping area, with every added comfort for a total escape from the world. Sunlight floods through an incredible wall of antique window frames, while floor-to-ceiling drapes and a hardwood floor offer elegant touches of home. You’ll love the dreamy bed as much as you’ll love waking to birdsong and breath-taking forest views, while a charming table for two, and vintage curios create an undeniably romantic ambience.
Every comfort has been taken care of, from air conditioning to keep you cool on steamy summer nights, to an indoor fireplace, space heaters, fluffy blankets and homemade quilts to keep you warm in winter. Impress your loved one with breakfast and coffee each morning, courtesy of the 3-in-1 retro breakfast maker, while bottled water and light snacks offer extra refreshment.
A propane grill and an icebox can be found in your private tree-deck dining room, where you can cook up a storm while taking in panoramic views. And for that very special occasion, you can even order a mouth-watering dinner for two, prepared for you by treehouse hosts Larry and Regina (just be sure to request that in advance)!
You’ll also discover an unbelievable outdoor shower on your fairy-lit deck, for a totally unique (and totally private) bathing experience with lashings of hot water all year round. And underneath the treehouse, you’ll discover one more sensational surprise – a suspended bed for two below a wonderfully romantic chandelier!
And if that wasn’t exceptional enough, you can even upgrade your stay with the VIP Treehouse Experience, where you and your partner can look forward to a host of extra-special touches – ranging from access to the nearby fire pit and a S’mores supply kit for two, to a collection of cute keepsakes to ever remind you of your time at Bolt Farm Treehouse.

What the guests of Bolt Farm Treehouse say
“If you are looking for a magical place, different from anywhere else on earth, where you can truly rest, relax, recharge, reconnect and refocus, you’ve found it. If there is miraculously a date available on the calendar, book it NOW. Everything about the treehouse is thought out with love and consideration to detail with luxury and elegance in mind.”
Nate, April 2017
“We came here for a few nights on our honeymoon and it far exceeded our expectations! It was the most relaxing space to unwind after our wedding. All the details made this space even that more special and the surprising touches were wonderful (bathrobes, slippers, breakfast, and more!). We stayed 3 nights but wished we had stayed longer! While we were there, we walked around the family trails, had breakfast among the trees, read in the swinging bed, and explored the surrounding waterfalls. I’ve bragged about it to everyone since we got back and definitely recommend visiting.”
Ruth, April 2017
“This place can’t be booked within a 6 month time frame for a reason! The treehouse was immaculately prepared! We had a blast and enjoyed every intricate detail the treehouse offered. From the painted checker board on a tree stump, to the hanging outside bed, (complete with a suspended chandelier) you could feel the love and dedication that was used to create this beauty. My only regret is that we didn’t book a longer stay. Absolutely loved this experience!”
