Belle Isle Estate, an Area of Special Scientific Interest and Special Area of Conservation, consists of seven islands, and extends to 400 acres, perfectly nestled in the tranquil waters of Lough Erne, County Fermanagh.
The Castle, situated at the heart of this island Estate, is a truly impressive sight to behold. Stunningly imposing and solid, the building features stone walls, heavy wooden doors and large sculpted windows that attract floods of natural light inside, all encased in ivy leaves and fresh greenery. The beautiful Lough Erne and a Sunken Garden greet you as you take a stroll through the grounds, an ideal place for you to hold court with your loved ones!
Imagine centuries of lives lived long ago as you enter your grandly renovated accommodation, sleeping up to 26 guests in 13 bedrooms. Belle Isle Castle once played host to generations of nobles, and in the present day you and your group are invited to enjoy just as much contemporary luxury, with an exquisite mix of antique furnishings alongside up-to-the-minute fixtures and fittings.
You’ll find plenty of comfortable spaces inside the Castle to luxuriate in. A splendid, double-vaulted entrance hall sets the scene, leading you through to a welcoming drawing room that features a warming fireplace at its heart… the perfect spot to enjoy catching up over your favourite tipple! Floor-to-ceiling windows mean you won’t miss out on a single moment of the very best rustic views you’ll ever see, all from the comfort of your soft, cosy chair.
The heart of the Castle is home to the imposing Grand Hall, where you can enjoy a host of sumptuous banquets fit for ancient royalty, all lit from beautiful natural light by day and a soft glow from the open fire by night. The Minstrel’s Gallery above is an impressive sight, filling your dining experiences with soothingly traditional melodies.
Take time over choosing your favourite bedroom, each one individually decorated and beautifully different from the last, located in the Abercorn and Hamilton Wings of the castle. Exposed oak beams and grand four-poster beds set the scene for endless, blissfully dreamy nights, complemented by individual flourishes of colour and comfort, and with fresh country views as far as the eye can see.

“A most wonderful weekend shared with amazing friends in the most beautiful of settings. The castle was beyond words and I can’t wait until August to return with family to the cottages. Managed and catered for to the highest of standards. A very big thank you to Andrea, the co-ordinator who went over and beyond to meet our needs – and the catering team dinner was perfection … Precious memories.”
