Full description
Corsewall Lighthouse Hotel - illuminate your holiday with a stay in a beautifully unique Scottish coastal hotel that doubles up as a charming working lighthouse.

The coast conjures up spectacular visions of waves crashing against the rocks as ships sail serenely by. With a stay in Corsewall Lighthouse Hotel, a boutique hotel and restaurant steeped in charm and history, such visions will instantly transform themselves into reality as if by magic!

Originally built in 1815, this listed building isn't just a welcoming place to stay, but a romantic working lighthouse whose friendly beam signals a warning for ships approaching the mouth of Loch Ryan.  Lovingly restored and managed by its friendly owners, the Corsewall Lighthouse Hotel offers a stunningly unique way to relax and dine in nautical-inspired comfort and luxury.

View some of Scotland's most spectacular coastal scenery from the comfort of the lighthouse galleries, where you'll not only be able to see the Kintyre Peninsula, Arran, Ailsa Craig and out to the Irish Coast, but also a beautiful variety of thriving sea life.  The nearby meadow also offers tranquil scenes of grazing deer and birds - Corsewall is an excellent spot for birdwatchers - along with an abundance of blooming flowers that will soon have you feeling relaxed and ready to enjoy your holiday.

Choose from six double rooms or five suites, individually styled with en-suites (aside from Ailsa room which has its own private bathroom just 4m down the corridor), and many offering soothing views of the sea, the meadow, or both!

The Stevenson and Ballantrae Suites both feature two king size double or twin bedrooms, and offer the most amazing views of the Scottish coastline.  The Lighthouse Suite, equipped with a double and a twin room, boasts panoramic coastal views to Northern Ireland, and a private sea-facing conservatory - the perfect spot to enjoy a steaming mug of morning coffee as the sun rises over the sparkling water.

The Firth of Cromarty is a premier meadow and ocean-facing double room that features a private patio, while the ground-floor Galloway Room is fully equipped for guests requiring mobility access.

A full day and evening menu is served at the hotel's sumptuous restaurant, so why not begin your day in true "I'm on holiday" style, with a mouthwateringly hearty breakfast in tranquil surroundings before heading out to discover the local area?

You'll find you're in the perfect place to explore Dumfries and Galloway and Ayrshire, whether by sea (sea fishing is a fantastic way to spend the day!) or on foot, with plenty of walking maps available from the hotel.  Keen golfers will enjoy the abundant courses in the local area, from Turnberry to Stranraer.

Plenty of nearby gardens and castle grounds provide the ideal setting for lovers of nature and history alike, and in the unlikely event you start feeling as though you've seen enough of Scotland, how about a day trip to Ireland for a change of scenery?

You'll find there's plenty to offer even the most discerning of holidaymakers, so chart your course and let the Corsewall Lighthouse Hotel light your way to a relaxing holiday, infused with natural beauty and plenty of warmly welcoming spirit!
