  • Sleeps: up to 7
  • Bedrooms: 3
  • Bathrooms: 2
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Set amongst the stunning countryside of Radnorshire, Wild Meadow is the perfect place to escape and unwind, surrounded by nature. Having been featured in The Telegraph’s list of places to stay ‘for a taste of horticultural heaven’, you can begin to imagine the treats in store at this beautiful place.

Indulge in matchless views over the valley, sample the delights of the kitchen garden, and stargaze in the inky blackness above come nightfall. All the while, enjoy the tranquillity of some of the most charming accommodation this area has to offer.

Ideal for larger groups, pet-friendly Meadow Cottage is the perfect choice.  Standing next to the kitchen garden (handy for all those fabulous fruit and vegetables!), this eco-cottage means you can enjoy this beautiful area with minimal impact on the environment. Sleeping up to seven between three double bedrooms, it’s perfect for larger families or a reunion of friends.

This light and spacious home has been beautifully crafted from natural materials for country charm with eco-credentials. Visible beams and wooden latch doors bring traditional touches to this modern home, while floor-to-ceiling glazing in the living area makes the most of those stunning views. The well-equipped kitchen comes complete with an electric cooker for easy self-catering, as well as a fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher, while all water is heated by solar power and an electric top-up to never leave you short.

The first of the three double bedrooms is found on the ground floor, and with the family bathroom also found on this level, it’s perfect for any guests with accessibility needs. Upstairs, you’ll find the beautiful Master bedroom, complete with a king size bed, lounge area and balcony. The third bedroom is furnished with a kingsize bed and single bed, making it ideal for a family.

The Shepherd’s Hut is Wild Meadow’s second offering and invites you to settle into life in the slow lane.  Small but most perfectly formed, this 16ft by 7ft hut offers cosy lodgings for two adults, with two children also accommodated on a self-inflating mattress if needed. Inside this rustic retreat, you’ll find a bright and airy space fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Real wood floors, a wood burning stove, electric lights, and 12v sockets, add touches of practical luxury. There’s no need to worry about the cold at night; excellent insulation and a cosy duvet mean you can enjoy the deluxe double bed all year round. Your outdoor, covered kitchen is perfect for cooking on the gas hob and grill, or try your culinary skills on the traditional Kotlich and griddle! Take advantage of complementary ingredients too for your first morning’s breakfast, while the useful fridge keeps everything fresh and cool.

What the guests of Wild Meadow say

Well… what a wonderful week! Firstly, thank you so much for your wonderful
and thoughtful hospitality. Having three small children, it’s the little things
that are important – the lego, tram tracks, nets at the pond, the swings – they
have been happy every minute! We have never stayed in anywhere as beautiful
(inside and out!). We can’t wait for our next visit.”

“Brought here as a surprise for my 50th birthday. All organised by my
children after one of them had stayed in the lovely Shepherd’s Hut. Well what
can I say? Wow, Wow and wow again. What a beautiful tranquil place that has
everything you could need – fantastic comfy beds just like ‘clouds’. Will
DEFINITELY be coming again.”

“We have loved every minute of our ‘very different for us break!  We
did not know what to expect but we are now confirmed ‘shepherds hut’ people.
The whole experience was magical… Cooking on the kotlich was fantastic with a
hearty veg stew and toasted marshmallows with chocolate sauce. The hut and
facilities are exceptionally clean and include everything you could wish
for! Location and view were to die for. Loved picking mushrooms for tea
and collecting wood for the camp fire. Perfect.”
