Expertly constructed in 2013, Tucson Glass Cottage is an architect-designed retreat that will introduce you to desert living at its most enthralling.

That’s because, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling glass walls, you’ll get truly up close and personal with the diverse wildlife and awe-inspiring beauty of Arizona’s Sonoran Desert.

Wake every morning to the golden sun rising over the Catalina Mountains to the east, ideally accompanied by a steaming mug of coffee on the furnished quartzite stone deck.

(There’s another furnished deck facing west, just in case you’re a fan of blazing sunsets, too!)

Perfect for a romantic couple in search of tranquillity and reconnection, you can relax together by the working acorn fireplace, snuggled in the ‘Wiggle Chair’. There’s also a cocktail table designed by the legendary architect Frank Gehry, and a downy queensize bed.

After a sound night’s sleep and a spot of sunrise-watching, freshen up in the indulgent double-shower-with-a-view, then wander across the covered breezeway to the beautiful kitchen area.

Here you can prepare a hearty breakfast against a magnificent mountain backdrop, then open a book in the Danish swivel reading chair… pure hygge! If you’re in need of an afternoon snooze there’s a comfy flip-down sofa, too.

Though it will feel like you’re miles from civilisation, exploring further afield is ridiculously easy, with downtown Tucson and the Saguaro National Park just a short drive away.

That is, if you can bear to leave your magical glass cottage!
