“Howf” is a cosy word for ‘haunt’ and favourite meeting place for family and friends.  As such, Ash Tree Howf is a retreat characterised by privacy and uniqueness.  It’s also a masterpiece of craftsmanship that is entirely self-sufficient, with no shortage of attention to detail and thoughtful design.

The experience starts from the moment you ascend the wood steps of the staircase up to the outdoor terrace, where you’ll be instantly captivated by those views and feel high among the branches.

Moving inside, the hand-made rustic bed and furniture are sure to impress, with a wood burning stove and stained glass window just some of the touches that made the decor extra special here.

In the summer months, the area is filled with farm animals, including ryeland sheep, ponies, donkeys, pygmy goats, guinea fowl and ducks, which you can observe from the comfort of your own outdoor terrace…

…yet for quieter, lazy evenings inside, the stove creates the perfect atmosphere, along with a large skylight window above the bed for stargazing on a clear night.

Ash Tree Howf also comes with its own kitchenette, and there is a fire pit and BBQ for those perfect balmy summer nights al fresco.  Oh, and for an extra fee you can laze under the stars in your very own wood-fired hot tub, for pure holiday bliss.
