There’s a lot of heart to be found at Top of the Woods, an impossibly soothing, enduringly soulful camp-and-glamp site located by the Pembrokeshire National Park.
Friendly owners Soo and Jon fell in love with this beautiful mix of wildlife-steeped meadow and woodland as soon as they saw it. They got straight to work on creating a magical space filled with eco-friendly accommodation, relaxation, and reconnection – both with nature and each-other!
The ideal escape from hectic everyday life, Top of the Woods is the proud winner of a Green Key environmental tourism award, as well as being recommended by The Times as one of Britain’s “coolest places to stay”. Find out why by choosing from four types of eco-luxe accommodation, each one packed with thoughtful attention to detail and spaced across 27 acres of gorgeously green space.
The 6.3m Nature Domes each sleep up to four guests, with a wood-burning stove, contemporary furniture, and wildflower meadow-framed views of the National Park built right in. If you’ve brought more guests, the Eco Boutique Safari Lodges are ideal for families, each sleeping up to six guests amongst plenty of designer space and with electricity, private toilet and shower facilities. Relax on your veranda as you listen to the morning birdsong with that first coffee of the day – bliss.
Meanwhile, if you prefer to unleash that inner frontier spirit of yours, the brand new custom-built Pioneer Camps sleep up to four guests in two bedrooms with a wood-burning stove to keep you cosy, while the Meadow Camping pitches are set amongst four acres of wildflower meadow (you can even hire a pre-pitched bell tent if you don’t fancy struggling with your own!). For campervans, there are two 15m x 15m pitches with EHU.
Top of the Woods’ philosophy is all about celebrating life in all its simplest, natural, and most pleasurable forms. Translation: if you’re just looking for somewhere to watch TV, or plug in your hair straighteners, this may not be the place for you (though you can plug in your car, with two EV chargers available on site).
Yet that doesn’t mean you’ll be short on luxuries, as everything you’ll need is provided, from kitchen supplies, downy bedding and Welsh woollen blankets, to solar fairy lights and firewood. Generous facilities are provided too, including luxurious ‘wet room’ showers with skylight roofs.

What the guests of Top of the Woods say
“We arrived home today from a short break at Top of the Woods and I can honestly say that it has been an amazing experience. The 4 of us stayed in one of the bell tents and it was incredibly comfortable and roomier than I’d imagined. The owners were so welcoming and incredibly helpful and the site has everything a happy camper (or glamper) could possibly need. Facilities were always clean and tidy. It is a very family friendly place and there are stunning views and walks. I would definitely recommend Top of the Woods.”
