Something very special is waiting for you in the gorgeous Severn Vale…the Glamping Orchard. In this haven of loveliness, couples and families can discover two unforgettable glamping abodes and experience the perfect escape to the country.

The Glamping Orchard is found on a family-run smallholding, surrounded by farm animals and acres of space for that authentic rural retreat. Just five miles from Gloucester and only a short step from the River Severn, this idyllic location provides everything from rolling countryside to historic market towns – and, of course, totally unique accommodation!

The Warwick Knight Caravan
When owners Ali and Rich acquired this derelict 1950s Warwick Knight, a model once hailed the Rolls Royce of caravans, it was a far cry from the exceptional home-from-home it is today. With a great deal of vision, hard work and even a little help from George Clarke of Amazing Spaces fame, the Warwick Knight now offers sensational accommodation for four very lucky guests.

On first seeing this vintage beauty – complete with spiral stairs leading to an inspired rooftop garden – you can’t wait to climb inside to see what other surprises lay in store. Hand-crafted interior design creates tailored perfection, with the tiniest detail made to measure. Comfy sofas surround the woodburner in the light and airy living area, bespoke wooden worktops feature in the fully equipped kitchen, and ingenious storage spaces provide plenty of room for all your luggage and knick-knacks.

And, with a clever integrated stereo system, electric lighting and plug sockets, you’ll be pleased to know no ounce of luxury has been lost in this fantastic restoration. Snuggle down under plush duvets (there’s a double bed for parents and bunk beds for the kids), and wake in the morning to glorious views across the orchard and surrounding countryside. You’re even treated to your own private wood-fired shower cabin, just 25 metres away, and a private composting loo beside the Warwick Knight.

Don’t forget the roof garden either, where you can sink into a beanbag or relax back at the table for four, bonding over a BBQ as the sun slips away behind the Forest of Dean beyond.

Belle the Bell Tent
Luxury under a cotton cover – that’s exactly what you’ll find in Belle, the beautiful bell tent which sleeps up to five guests. Adorned with bunting and lit by tea lights and fairy lights, this charming hideaway is equipped with everything you could possibly need to cook, relax and sleep, taking the hassle out of traditional camping without losing any of the enjoyment.

What the guests of The Glamping Orchard say

“We had the most fabulous time at the Glamping Orchard. Ali & Rich are excellent hosts and have put their heart and soul into both Belle and Warwick Knight. We will DEFINITELY be back and want to say a huge thank you for taking such great care of us.”

“We had a wonderful stay in Belle with our two year old daughter. We loved the relaxing time spent in deckchairs in the sunshine, and she loved meeting the animals and feeding the pigs. The tent was beautifully decorated with a huge cosy bed and wood burning stove. The kitchen was well equipped and had thoughtful touches like homemade cake and fresh milk. The star of the show though was probably the wood fired shower and bathroom hut, with fluffy towels and bath robes – I felt like I was in a luxury spa! Thanks Ali and Rich for being perfect hosts.”

“Glorious Gloucester Glamping in a Glamp-a-van. We’ve just returned from a long weekend at the Glamping Orchard. Wow! The most amazing time spent, in beautiful surroundings, with fabulous hosts, this really is an amazing experience, for young and old, in fact a perfect family getaway.
The Warwick Knight stands proudly between apple and pear trees in its plot within the Orchard. With far-reaching views from the roof garden and plenty of room for the kids to play. It’s nothing like camping trips of old, in fact it takes all the best bits and then adds even more. If you want a picturesque base from which to explore, this is the perfect place, in the perfect space. We loved it so much we will be booking a return in the very near future.”
