  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 1 night

The Dairy at Denend forms part of Boutique Farm Bothies, a unique collection of hand-built bothy boltholes nestled on a picture-perfect Aberdeenshire farm.

Owner Jane has lovingly designed and created each unique bothy in collaboration with their family members, to help guests relax and unwind in style, as well as playfully introducing them to life on the farm.

The Dairy at Denend’s design is imaginatively based on the Hosier mobile milking parlour, with a wealth of luxurious features and whimsical nods to the past! Featured on Channel Four’s popular TV show, ‘The World’s Most Secret Hotels’, there’s plenty here to marvel at, from a hand-painted sink to abundant vintage treasures.

Sleeping 2-4 guests, the spacious Dairy at Denend is ideal for couples, friends, and small families alike. And with dogs welcome too, nobody has to stay behind at home. Simply choose your favourite first-floor sleeping space from the luxurious kingsize bed, which faces an arch gable-end window for the most magnificent morning views, or the fun, adult-sized bunk room.

Whichever you opt for, you’ll be sleeping on a luxe Hypnos mattress, dressed with super-soft cotton linens for a lavishly cosy night’s sleep. Oh – and when morning arrives, it’ll be ridiculously easy to savour a cuppa in bed, with an ‘Ally Up’ basket on hand for hoisting a flask and mugs!

What to do with your days? Life here is all about slowing down and enjoying simple comforts. Fire up the wood-burner and reproduction Dansette record player – complete with Bluetooth connection – to get lost in your favourite tunes, or break open a board game together. Perhaps you could mix a decadent drink with a little help from the elegant cocktail cabinet, expertly repurposed from a 1950s larder cupboard, or admire the stars in the vast night sky.

You could also opt for a long, languorous soak… either in the woodland-facing roll top copper bathtub indoors, or out under the stars in the bespoke ‘milk tank’-style hot tub!
