Nestled amidst the glorious West Sussex countryside – in the South Downs National Park, to be exact – Oakwood West Holidays offers the perfect setting for a much-needed rural escape.

Each stylish, dog-friendly retreat also boasts sleek high-end facilities, a stargazing hot tub, and a soft-glowing log burner… along with surroundings so idyllic, you won’t believe you’re fewer than two hours away from bustling London!

All you have to decide is which retreat to choose, and whom your lucky companions will be.

Lucky’s Stable (6 guests) is a sophisticated sanctuary with scenic picture doors, a handmade dining table, and deep, comfortable beds. Relax around the log-burning stove inside, or in the magical pergola outside, as the stars twinkle softly above. Meanwhile, the beautiful decked garden is fully enclosed, meaning the kids and dogs can run wild and free.

If you’ve brought a few more of your favourite people along, you could book the adjoining Silhouette’s Stable to sleep up to 10 guests in total… and enjoy an even larger garden space!

Otherwise, you’ll find this sumptuously converted hideaway sleeps up to 4 guests in two elegant bedrooms, and a sofa bed with a privacy partition for flexible sleeping. After a sound night’s sleep, ease into your day with a coffee on the vintage leather
sofa, with soothing views to the garden.

Fern Lodge (6 guests) pays homage to those enchanting rural surroundings, with delicate hand-painted murals, romantic timber beams, and designer leaf-motif wallpaper. The dreamy alcove bed features a gorgeous night-sky mural above, while if you gaze over the garden gate, there’s a good chance you’ll spot the local deer and rabbits going about their day.

What the guests of Oakwood West Holidays say

“We stayed at Meadow Hide for our Christmas break this year and it was just wonderful. There was even a Christmas tree and some decorations, and some treats for us all when we arrived. The accommodation is spotless, there isn’t anything we would change about it. They’ve thought of everything and it was like a home from home. Would highly recommend.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Lucky’s Stable. The property is in excellent condition, clean, can comfortably fit 6 (or 8 using the sofa bed). A large kitchen, and a comfortable living area. The log fire is a wonderful touch, as is the outdoor jacuzzi. Would happily return.”

“The lodge was light and airy, well maintained with the added bonus of the large deck and bbq. Situated for easy access to many locations. Also our dogs were made very welcome. We really had a good break.”
