Hush Hush Glamping
Wales / Presteigne, Powys
Full description
A naturally luxurious pod set on lush, wildlife-steeped Welsh farmland, with jaw-dropping views of the Radnor Valley.
Nestled beneath the ancient Radnor Forest, Hush Hush Glamping consists of a beautifully remote, expertly crafted wooden pod for two.
Elevated at 1,300 feet above sea level, you can savour glorious, sweeping views of the Radnor Valley and the Black Mountains; while your 90-acre farmland surroundings are shared with friendly neighbours that include alpacas, sheep, swooping red kites, and even the occasional grazing deer.
With the nearest town 15 minutes away, and no Wi-Fi connection anywhere to be seen or heard, the scene is blissfully set for you to relax and reconnect with your loved one, utterly distraction-free.
Called Hare's Form - you may be able to spot several of its furry namesakes in the surrounding area - your cosy pod is filled with natural light, and you'll find it packed with all the holiday conveniences you could possibly need.
There's a small-yet-perfectly-formed kitchenette, stocked with cooking essentials for those romantic meals in. Once you've finished, why not retire to the wood burner with a welcome glass of wine, warming your toes as you chat and laugh the evening away together?
When it's finally time to call it a night, you'll find a downy Hypnos double bed ready and waiting for you. Positioned next to huge glass doors, you can drift off to a sound night's sleep, under twinkling stars in the dark night sky.
In the morning, take in the spectacular views of the valley... or simply fling those doors open instead, and enjoy a steaming mug of coffee in the company of fresh air and joyous birdsong.
There's a charming en-suite shower room to freshen up in (just pack a towel or two)... and then it's on to enjoying your day!
If you've brought your walking boots, you'll soon find there's plenty of scope to wear them out - from gentle walking trails in Radnor Forest, to the more challenging circular mountain trek on the summits of Pen y Fan and Corn Du.
Oh, and you won't be disappointed if you prefer cycling - there is a fantastic ten-mile mountain biking route in Radnor Forest at your disposal!
What else? You can book some thrilling local activities, including canoeing, horse riding and car racing... and there's even a spa nearby, so you can unwind if all that activity starts to get a bit too much.
Of course, you've also got the option of simply burying your head in a book or watching one of the DVDs provided in your cosy pod - in the unlikely event that you ever tire of that mesmerising scenery.
Things to note
Check in after 3pm, check out by 10am. There is no Wi-Fi in the pod, but most mobile networks provide good signal and data coverage if needed. No pets permitted.
