Hidden River Cabins is set of spacious log cabins with river views, in an untouched corner of the Cumbrian countryside. If you’re looking for freedom and seclusion in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, these cabins could just be perfect.

There is a choice of five cabins at Hidden River, each of them sleeping a generous six to ten people. They have between two and four bedrooms, and two floors, so there’s lots of space for families to spread out, but they’re also perfectly cosy for two. Each cabin has its own private space, so you’ll never have to worry about the neighbours. All cabins are dog friendly too, so you won’t have to leave anyone at home.

That privacy is especially welcome as each cabin has its own hot tub. These are the perfect spot to unwind in after a long day’s exploring, or to laze away an afternoon in. Also on the outdoor deck is a table and chairs, and barbecues are available to hire for those long lunches in the sun.

Each cabin has spectacular views, every one slightly different. Some are set right on the riverside, others a little back in meadowland and trees. The Otterstone Cabin is particularly lovely, and perfect for anglers, with fish a-plenty on the weir.  If you’re going in spring, take a look at Bluebell – as you’d expect, it’s surrounded by blue come the right time of year.

The cabins all come with everything you’ll need for a comfortable, home-from-home stay. Open plan kitchen and living areas offer a roomy, sociable space to cook, eat and relax in. The kitchens are equipped with hobs, ovens, dishwashers and even mini bars. If you don’t fancy cooking yourself, just head over to the on-site café and the chef will whip up something for you.

In the living areas, there are comfy sofas, TVs and DVD players. A woodburner keeps everything warm, even on the coldest of nights. Upstairs, the bedrooms all have proper beds, made with luxury bedlinen. Some have access to a balcony.

New for 2017 is the Hidden River House, and 18th Century three-story house with an East and West wing, each wing sleeping up to 10 guests and with a private hot tub, kitchen and living area, all overlooking the valley where the other cabins are located.
