Floatel Cabins
Wales / Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire
Full description
A serene quartet of luxury floating havens for two, set on the glistening doorstep of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Milford Waterfront, perfectly positioned by the UK's only coastal national park, is a wondrous base from which to explore some of Wales' best beaches - not to mention the bustling market town of Milford Haven itself.
Now you can rest your heads on that serene waterfront, in a luxurious floating cabin-for-two that not only boasts gentle views of the surrounding boats, but encapsulates all the charm and personality of this unique, heritage-steeped part of the world.
Each of the four luxurious cabins has been named to celebrate the many fascinating stories of these shores. Sybil is the name of the first fishing trawler that entered Milford Docks in 1888, while dog-friendly Morlo is the Welsh word for "seal" (of which you're sure to spot many!) Then there's Nantucket and Tembek to complete the quartet.
Stylishly furnished, you'll discover your cabin equipped with a cosy double bed, unless you've chosen Sybil, the twin cabin. Facing your very own private, furnished deck on the water's edge, there's surely no better way to wake up!
There's a luxury en-suite shower room too, along with those all-important holiday essentials: a Smart TV, WiFi, hot drink-making facilities, and a scrumptious welcome gift of chocolate truffles made at Milford Waterfront.
You won't really need a kitchen - not least because you're on holiday, so who wants to wash up? - as the cabins are surrounded by cafés, shops, and restaurants of all descriptions, within just a few minutes' walk.
Milford Haven is also home to a varied events programme, including the famed Fish and Street Food Festivals, but if you've arrived out of season then why not go antique-hunting, or take in a show at the award-winning local theatre, instead?
Exploring the magnificent Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, from Tenby to St. David's, will be ridiculously easy from your amazing Floatel base. You'll also discover some fabulous beaches close by, including the gorgeously sandy, crescent-shaped Barafundle Bay.
Watersports enthusiasts will be in heaven here too, with all manner of activities on offer from coasteering to surfing, while there's ample opportunity to take a boat trip or two and view the seals and dolphins up close (we recommend a visit to Skomer Island, where you'll also have the chance to spot puffins and nesting sea birds).
Absorb yourselves fully in life lived on sparkling Welsh water, but be warned: you may never want to holiday on boring dry land ever again!
Things to note
Floatel Cabins are for adults only, no children permitted to stay. There is a small extra charge if you are bringing your dog. Some boat trips are only available during the summer months.
