Now, Craighead Howf, a traditional, welcoming Scottish stone-built farmhouse and steading in Perthshire, offers you the chance to do just that.  With Burrow and Bagend, two purpose-built storybook homes nestled in spectacular countryside close to Dunblane, your stay will be magically infused with the spirit of the wilderness from the moment you arrive.

Surrounded by two acres of flourishing gardens, a sparkling lochan and enchanting woodland areas, a more perfect setting just couldn’t be imagined. What’s more, you won’t be too far away from civilisation, with some of Scotland’s finest tourist attractions within easy reach.

“Howf” is a warm Scottish word for a favourite haunt of family and friends…and you’ll find Burrow and Bagend Howfs are both very aptly-named.

Both off-grid Howfs are built right into the hillsides, bespoke-crafted from stone and wood to blend beautifully with their rural surroundings. Those refreshing views are sprinkled with friendly goats and cows, with endless stretches of countryside to take in all around.

Meanwhile, the grassy roof and colourful round doors set the scene – these are truly homes that any self-respecting creature would be proud to call their own!

Inside awaits every wilderness-dweller’s dream; a home imaginatively furnished in hand-crafted wood, with plenty of nooks and crannies to explore.
