Cerchio Del Desiderio (that’s ‘Circle of Desire’ in English) is a sumptuous glamping retreat that’s home to Italy’s first geodomes.
You’re sure to agree that a more beautiful home is hard to imagine, too. Spectacularly located amongst 10 acres of instantly relaxing rural land in the heart of Abruzzo, you can listen to the gentle rustling of the olive trees…as you gaze languorously across to the Gran Sasso Mountains.
(That is, when you’re not indulging in an outdoor bath, or stargazing from the comfort of your bed).
With an organic garden, a cooling splash pool, a botanical breakfast room, and decks for yoga and meditation also on site, Cerchio Del Desiderio is ideal for a break that’s not only infused with natural beauty, but with a calm sense of wellness that promises to put the spring firmly back into your step.
There are three luxurious, off-grid geodomes to choose from – two that are ideal for a romantic couple or a small family of three, and one that sleeps up to four adults.
Whichever you opt for, you can expect huge panoramic windows that showcase that gorgeous scenery to perfection, cosy beds, and a decking area for enjoying a chilled glass of local wine. Two domes are also equipped with a private outdoor bath tub – bliss!
You could also choose to rest your heads in Luna Stella Yurt instead, a 20ft Indian-inspired canvas haven that’s perfect for a couple…and perfect for stargazing, with its panoramic roof centre. You’ll also discover an opulent free-standing bath tub, and a private mountain-view terrace, complete with a hammock swing.

More information
Enjoy a delicious breakfast served to your room each morning, to enjoy in bed or from your private terrace whilst you take in the views – and then it’s time to explore! Abruzzo is an unspoilt, largely undiscovered hideaway that’s claimed to be one of the greenest in Europe, and you really are spoilt for choice of activities here.
Filled with sparkling gems to suit every season, you can relax on spectacular blue flag beaches along the Adriatic Sea, or ski through glistening snow-covered mountains. Outdoor pursuits of almost every description are extremely well-covered, from cycling and canoeing, to paragliding and bungee jumping.
In the mood for a simple, leisurely stroll? There are plenty of charming medieval towns to discover, all steeped in intriguing history. Head for the weekly market in nearby Pianella for some of the most delicious local produce you’re sure to taste, perhaps stopping for coffee or wine afterwards.
Meanwhile, with over 197 vineyards in the region, you could decide that a wine tasting tour is just the thing to help while away a sunny afternoon, or why not learn to make fresh pasta, instead?
(Though with a handy honesty shop on site, and the nearest restaurant a mere three-minute walk away, you won’t have to stray far if you’re feeling too relaxed…which is incredibly likely).
