Bubbletent Australia
Australia / Nr Lithgow, New South Wales
Full description
The Australian outback, star-studded skies, and just you and your loved one to enjoy them all from the luxury of a fabulous inflatable bubble...it can only be Bubbletent Australia!
Bubbletent Australia offers the incredible chance to experience Australia's true wilderness and breath-taking landscape, without leaving your creature comforts behind. This off-grid glamping retreat can be found tucked away in the paddock of a huge working farm, 200km northwest of Sydney. Overlooking the Capertee Valley - the world's second biggest canyon - Bubbletent Australia makes for some of the most awesome morning views you'll ever wake up to!
The actual bubbletents, named after the star signs of Leo, Virgo and Cancer, are exactly as they sound: a large inflatable bubble with all you need for a self-sufficient and secluded stay. The main compartment is completely transparent, giving you the most sensational 360-degree views and countless opportunities for uninterrupted stargazing! You'll also find two smaller obscured compartments leading from either side, offering slightly more privacy as well as eco-friendly bathroom facilities.
In addition to the super comfy queen-size bed (complete with large storage drawers below), you'll find an iPad prepared with Spotify playlists, a stargazing app, and a birdwatching app (after all, you are in one of the most important bird sanctuaries in the world). A pair of binoculars and a telescope are on hand to help spot planets, satellites or your star sign - and in crystal-clear skies with minimal light pollution, you're bound to see more than you ever have before!
There's also all manner of useful additions to make your stay even more comfortable. The butane camp stove is ideal for cooking up old favourites, while plates, cups, bowls, a kettle and pan can be found in the handy storage drawers too. There's even a cheeseboard and knife, a corkscrew and champagne flutes (very classy!), while a powered domestic 40-litre fridge/freezer underground in the lower decking keeps your food and drink chilled to perfection.
On hot days the sunshield helps to keep the temperature inside the tent down (although you'll most likely be outside exploring!). And if the nights get a bit chilly, you'll find hot water bottles and extra blankets to keep you both snuggly warm. There's also an eco-friendly USB charger for your phones, so you won't find yourself completely cut off it you want the occasional check-in with the world. Those staying in Virgo are also lucky enough to enjoy a warm wood-fired hot tub, perfect for relaxing in and stargazing whilst soaking.
When you're not taking in those views from inside your bubbletent, you can enjoy them just as much from the outside! Your private deck comes fully furnished with stylish camping chairs, a fire pit and even a daybed for luxuriously lazy lounging! Pop up the hood to shield yourselves from the sun, or climb into the nearby hammock for total relaxation in the shade.
Out here in perfect seclusion, you and your partner will quickly feel like the only people on earth, with the only other living creatures being the friendly fauna who you might spot day to day (including the farm's sheep and goats!).
However, if you want to reconnect with civilisation, jump in the car and head to Mudgee. Just 45 minutes away, this beautiful town features awesome colonial architecture, world-class cafés and restaurants and over 40 cellar doors - perfect for wine tasting! Slightly closer, the Capertee Hotel is just 25 minutes away and serves a great meal, ideal for when you don't fancy firing up the camp stove.
Don't forget to be back at Bubbletent Australia for sunset though! Those moments when day segues into night, when blue becomes pink, red, purple then black are some of the most incredible to be savoured. So curl up together, count the stars as they appear, and enjoy every second of your stay in your incredible inflatable bubble.
