Full description
A breath-taking, architect-designed Hebridean cottage dreamily positioned on the ‘edge of the world', with spectacular Scottish mountain views across the water.

A quaint village on the northern coast of the Isle of Lewis, Brevig (or Breibhig in Scottish Gaelic) is rich in the idyllic natural scenery that characterises the remote, untamed Outer Hebrides.

Think rolling, wildlife-steeped hills, lush fields, and a shimmering coastal vista, gloriously framed by a backdrop of soaring Scottish mountains in the distance.

And when you add Brevig View Cottage into the equation, you're left with a unique form of scenic, comfort-filled paradise.

Sleek, stylish, and contemporary, the cottage is sustainably powered by solar panels, with air source heating to help keep you perfectly toasty. You'll also find a warming log fire in the sumptuous living area, where full-height vaulted ceilings and enormous windows frame those views to utter perfection.

Cook up a storm in the sea-view kitchen and dining room, equipped with everything you'll need to enjoy feasts of just about every description... and a dishwasher to help with the cleaning-up afterwards!

Though if you prefer dining in the Great Outdoors, there's a stunning, sheltered picnic area towards the end of the house, which is perfect for sunset barbecues and afternoon snacks alike.

Relaxing on the scenic decking, meanwhile, is sure to become addictive at any time of day, whether you're getting lost in birdsong over morning coffee, or nursing a chilled evening glass of wine. With that ever-changing sky, and scenery that leads your gaze over the village and out towards the Minch, there's always something new to marvel at.

(Perhaps you'll even spot the mythical Blue Men of the Minch floating on the water during your stay!)

Stay out until the stars make their twinkling appearance overhead, then make your blissful retreat to one of three large, elegant bedrooms: a kingsize master on the ground floor, complete with en-suite facilities, and a superking and a twin with a shared shower room upstairs.

After a sound night's sleep and a hearty home-cooked breakfast, it's time to get out and explore the full beauty of your surroundings. The Outer Hebrides are well-known as one of Britain's last remaining wildernesses, so you can luxuriate in the pure remoteness of isolated, pristine beaches and untouched mountain paths.

Pay a visit to Brevig Harbour, explore historic monuments, or jump on your bike and traverse some of the iconic Hebridean Way, before savouring a well-earned supper of freshly-caught seafood.  The blissful choice is completely yours.
