‘Arcadia’ is a word that describes a perfect image of life in the countryside… a pure and calm oasis in the desert of stressed, chaotic everyday life.

That’s exactly what will greet you as you arrive, loved one in tow, at the 21-acre woodland-and-pasture site that’s home to Arcadia Glamping. Featuring two luxurious cabins-for-two, and perfectly positioned by the historic village of Drymen, the natural wonders of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park are virtually on the doorstep.

The creative brainchild of sculptor and environmental artist Rob Mulholland and his wife Susan, every care has been taken to ensure not only that you have a heavenly stay at Arcadia, but also that their breath-taking natural environment is protected.

The unique, sustainably crafted cabins – named Halcyon and Elysium – use green energy sources for lighting and heating, and you’ll find both equipped with imaginative recycled and upcycled furnishings.

Each also comes with a gently illuminated outdoor bath that’s ideal for stargazing, a uniquely crafted chimenea, fluffy bathrobes to wrap yourselves in… and a goodie-packed welcome hamper with a bottle of Prosecco!

While both cabins blend beautifully with their natural surroundings, you’ll find each one is individually and lovingly styled, for a true one-of-a-kind experience. Halcyon marries traditional Scottish design with contemporary flair to create a perfect sense of place, characterised by larch cladding and a glinting metal façade of sculpted branches.

Elysium, meanwhile, is a beautiful reflection of nature with a twist of the exotic, filled with rich fabrics and accessories that were collected from Rob and Susan’s travels to the Middle and Far East.

What the guests of Arcadia Glamping say

“We have just returned from a weekend at Arcadia Glamping. The location is perfect, set within 21 acres with two gorgeous art inspired cabins nestled in a small dell in the woodland. The cabins are impeccably designed with some beautiful outdoor features and furnished with style and attention to detail. The inside shower rooms are perfect with plenty of hot water. The cabins are cosy, warm and comfortable with a lovely art inspired touch. We loved the outdoor deck and wood burner, and we especially loved our outdoor bath. Outside at night watching the bats and the stars and listening to owls whilst being warmed by a roaring fire was just fabulous.
We loved the eco friendly ethos and the walk through the onsite woodland and grounds containing three ponds and numerous wildlife .We loved that Arcadia is close to Loch Lomond and that it is easy to access some good walks. We were also bowled over by the enthusiasm of our hosts Sue and Rob who have spent two years working on the development of the site. Thank you so much ,it was a wonderful weekend. Wishing you a successful future with lots of happy guests.”
