If you’ve never experienced Tasmania before (or even if you have), a stay at Aplite House will introduce you to all that is unique and special about this glorious Australian island.

Perfectly situated next to the awe-inspiring Freycinet National Park, you’ll find Aplite House secluded along the island’s famous Great Eastern Drive, close to both Coles Bay and the pristine, eight kilometre-long Friendly Beaches.

While the huge potential for exploring the East Coast is clear, you may find it hard to leave the house at all. Blissfully private and spacious, you can immerse yourselves in endless forest views, whilst all around you is diverse, flourishing Tasmanian flora and fauna.

Sleeping up to five people in two queen ensuite bedrooms, Aplite House was designed by renowned local architect Stephen Geason – who was specifically chosen because of his love for the area.

Natural Tasmanian materials were used in the house’s expert construction, and you’ll discover plenty of lovingly hand-crafted furniture and fittings. Plenty of glass ensures you can feel truly at one with those incredible views, whilst allowing sunlight to flood beautifully inside (by evening, there’s a gorgeous wood fire to snuggle around).

There’s also an ever-changing, ever-growing collection of inventive Tasmanian art displayed throughout, including glass work, ceramics, sculpture and paintings, for a sumptuous feeling of creative luxury.

Oh, and not forgetting that this is a seriously eco-friendly home, too, with water naturally supplied by rainfall and use of off-grid solar power.
