If you’ve always wanted to experience the very best of rural Scotland, Alexander House couldn’t be better located. Just 2.5 miles from the famed Gleneagles and less than an hour from Edinburgh and Glasgow, you’ll find this opulent country house, set high in the Perthshire Hills, showcases breath-taking views from all directions.

Ideal for a fresh-air filled getaway with a sumptuous difference – complete with an abundance of relaxing and thrill-seeking activities alike! – a stay in one of Alexander House’s luxury yurts or horseboxes is an invigorating experience that’s simply not to be missed.

The ideal escape from a hectic life back home, we ask you: what could be better than switching off that phone, pouring a well-deserved glass of bubbles and relaxing in your very own wood-fired hot tub, surrounded by the freshest and most beautiful sights, sounds and smells that nature has to offer?

Choose from two cosy and furnished yurts, Bramble and Heather, permanently pitched in a sheltered corner of the grounds.

Yurt Heather features spectacular views over Gleneagles and across to the imposing Ben Vorlich in the West, and is surrounded by plenty of vibrant, earth-scented heather for that heavenly feeling of outdoor luxury.

Decorated in copper and purple, Yurt Bramble is sheltered by a huge Scots Pine, meaning you can relax amongst nature’s soundtrack of softly rustling branches and joyous birdsong.

Step inside your yurt to discover downy king-sized beds dressed in crisp linen, marshmallow duvets and soft pillows, with warming electric blankets provided in colder weather. You’ll also find cosy seating, a stove-top wood burner, plenty of kitchen essentials, and a 12ft yurt  bathroom complete with running water, a flushing toilet and a roll top bath (this is definitely not a standard camping experience!)  As if all that wasn’t enough, your own outdoor wood-fired hot tub is the perfect setting to enjoy all those blazing orange sunsets.
