Trafalgar Square
First up is Trafalgar Square, an iconic redLondon bus now settled in its new home at the South Causey Inn in the idyllicBeamish Valley, County Durham. Set in its own private garden, this fabulouslyquirky conversion features a 10 Downing Street-inspired front door which givesa hint to the utterly unique and characterful interior. Guests will marvel atthe sumptuous lower deck bathroom, where you can relax back in the opulentroll-top bath and watch the flat screen television. Look out for the originalbus steering wheel cleverly showcased above the sink! A winding staircase leadsyou to yet more indulgence – a velvet-clad master bedroom with queen size bedand faux fur throw. And as if this isn’t enough, there’s even a private hot tuboutside!
Fair Oak Farm
If you are looking for somewhere special tohold a family gathering, corporate event or get-together for a large group,then Fair Oak Farm will no doubt be high on the list. This beautiful private12-acre country estate in Mayfield, East Sussex, is available to hire for 10-40guests with a choice of historic 17th century converted farmhouseand farm buildings, stunning eco-lodge treehouses (pictured above) and charming shepherd’s huts.Guests can also enjoy full use of Fair Oak’s games barn and cinema barn, andthere is a large pond which provides a refreshing dip on hot summers days ifyou are partial to some wild swimming! Animal lovers will be delighted to sharethe farm with resident alpacas and peacocks. All in all, we can’t think of amore perfect place to host a large group stay!
Hermanus Roundhouses
Hermanus Roundhouses are a group ofcharming traditional Norfolk roundhouses offering self-catering accommodationat a popular beachside holiday park in Winterton-on-Sea, Norfolk. Finally, we have a petite and prettyglamping site in Host Unusual’s home county of Essex. Enjoying gloriouscountryside and estuary views on a working North Essex potato farm, Lee WickFarm offers guests a choice of two farm cottages or quirky glamping options inthe form of the MegaPods and a unique CargoPod. The MegaPods are cosy wellequipped arched wooden cabins sleeping 2 adults and 2 children, and evenfeature their own kitchenettes for simple self-catering. Located in its ownorchard, the unique CargoPod is a former shipping container now providingaccommodation for 4 – and guests looking to indulge a little can hire theadjacent log-fired hot tub for a small additional fee.
