Sourcing exciting new properties for Host Unusual alwayssees us stepping into a varied assortment of abodes. Take our newest additionsto the collection: three cedar-clad and eco-powered pods, a charming convertedchurch, a collection of stunning and homely geodesic domes and twodelightful and vibrant barges on a royal canal. All utterly unique anddifferent in their own way.

Mulino Pods
With an elevated position looking out over a valley towardsCarsington Water, the views at this gorgeous eco-retreat are to die for. Three well-crafted and cosy ecopods maximise this viewpoint and provide acomfortable base for exploring the Peak District. The pods themselves as wellas being quite futuristic looking are completely insulated inside, so if youare looking for a late winter or early spring break somewhere you can reallytake in the country air, Mulino Pods could be just the ticket.
St Curig’s Church
The dramatic mountains of Snowdonia: it couldn’t be a moreapt setting for one of our most unique property conversions yet, St Curig’sChurch. With too many 19th Century features to list, you’ll be amazed by thelevel of detail and intricacy in this stunning place, from the incredibleglittering mosaic ceiling to the grand piano and those high ceilings. Thenthere’s the outside, with a private hot tub and zip wire to entertain thechildren – that’s before you’ve even clocked those postcard snowy mountains!
Cosy Under Canvas
Need to escape from life for a little break and visitsomewhere truly special and off-grid, where you can reconnect with nature andrecharge your batteries?  This rustic and luxurious Geodome heaven couldbe exactly what you need.  Cosy Under Canvas has won a variety of awardswhich are all fully deserved; the geodomes are homely yet stylish, with privatehot tubs, hanging chairs and fire pits, and the woodland setting close to theBrecon Beacons is simply beautiful. We recommend early booking!
Boutique Barges
Float your cares away aboard either Barbara or Velvet Morning. These very different but equally stylish river retreats make up BoutiqueBarges, two charming 57-ft canal boats moored conveniently in the canals of centralLondon. For those who haven’t spent time on the Grand Union Canal or Regent’sCanal, you’ll be surprised how unlike London this all feels – an oasis of calmin the city and these barges are perfect sophisticated bases from which toexplore and unwind, giving the best of both worlds.
