Leading the Holiday Park Revolution

10 December 2018

What do you picture when you think about a UK holiday park? Perhaps a tired old caravan with access to a cold swimming pool with questionable hygiene standards?

Well, cast these assertions aside because the rise in the number of Brits wanting to take a staycation as opposed to a break abroad has led to massive investments being made to bring holiday parks in the UK up to standard.

One of the brands leading this revolution over the past couple of years has been Darwin Escapes, who have taken on numerous multi-million pound investments to turn these traditional holiday parks into luxurious destinations which are easily comparable with the standards you would find at 5 star holiday resorts abroad.

The company now has a total of 22 locations, each with its own little quirks but all up to impeccably high standards. Two of the most quirky destinations in their portfolio are currently listed on Host Unusual

Boutique Beach Huts in Beach Cove
One of the first resorts opened by Darwin Escapes back in 2014 was the iconic Beach Cove Coastal Retreat where you can enjoy a UK seaside holiday but with a difference.

This is on account of the boutique accommodation which is available at this 5 star rated North Devon destination in Ilfracombe. Gone are the tired old caravans and in their place are unique beach huts which are unlike any beach hut you will ever have seen.

Not only are they equipped with a modern kitchen and plethora of entertainment features including a flat screen TV and WiFi internet access, but they also are fully centrally heated with double glazed windows to ensure they remain warm and comfortable in any season. It is practically like stepping into a Tardis when you walk inside thanks to the room afforded with the open plan layout.

The 5 star standards don’t stop there, with top of the range beach huts on the park even having their own private hot tub facilities so that you can maximise the glorious seaside views overlooking Hele Bay with all guests also benefitting from access to the beach itself.

Tranquil Treehouse Trips

You will feel like the King of the Castle when you stay in one of the dreamy treehouses which are available at Woodside Bay Lodge Retreat on the North shores of the Isle of Wight.

These treehouses share the same Tardis-like qualities as the beach huts, being equipped with numerous home from home features in the beautifully decorated open plan living space. Here you will find an unbelievably comfortable double bed, Freeview enabled TV and kitchenette facilities which will cover your basic cooking needs.

You don’t often feel the need to write home about the bathroom in your accommodation when you take a break, but you might do if you stay in the Woodside Bay Treehouse which has a private monsoon shower room with modern copper utilities.

However, the pièce de résistance sits on the outdoor decking area where guests benefit from their own private hot tub. Overlooking the rest of the park, you will be the envy of other holiday makers as you make the most of the beautiful woodland surroundings whist immersing yourself in the warm bubbles.

Embrace the Change…

This is just two of the many high quality unusual accommodation offerings which are featured on Host Unusual. Darwin Escapes aim to bring you the most exciting and unusual accommodation available on the back of this holiday park revolution.
