Host Unusual is proud to present The Nordisk Village Project; a new, fresh and very different approach to glamping!
Nordisk Villages can be found in Venice, Procida Island on the Amalfi coast, at the heart of Poland’s spectacular Jura mountain range, by Argentina’s glacial, mirror-like Lake Làcar,and on the remote Goto Islands, off the south coast of Japan.
Each Village tells a story; that of the location in which it is found. Combining lifestyle, interior design, outdoor living and local knowledge, a story is told through each tent, its fabrics and interior design.
Each tent then comes with a book which tells this story and sends clients on a voyage of discovery, finding hidden corners that only the locals know… a comfy, colourful and didactic experience!
For those concerned about their carbon footprint (which should be all of us!), each Village is built with one thing in mind; what remains at the end should only be the nature as we found it.
The project inserts itself into every environment, not the other way round. Energy is limited in the tents and concentrated on a central, communal kitchen. This limits the energy supply to one area and also allows for the creation of one social space for all.
