Easter has to be one of our favourite times of the year. It’s officially springtime, so the sun is finally making its warming presence felt. Filled with colour and charm, the countryside has never looked better.
Plus, Easter-time is treat-time! Who could resist a rich chocolate egg, or a plate of hot cross buns slathered in butter, during those long weekend get-togethers with family and friends?
This year you can celebrate Easter in style, with a stay at a retreat that’s decorated just for the occasion, and/or offers fun, family-friendly activities during the school holidays.
What exactly do we mean by this? Well, one award-winning foodie retreat in West Sussex is offering freshly hand-made hot cross buns for Easter arrivals, with a surprise Easter Egg hunt for the little ones. Those staying from 31st March to 1st April can also take advantage of their discounted Easter baking classes – a treat that keeps on giving!
You could also choose to join a tempting chocolate Easter Egg hunt amongst ancient central Scottish woodlands, with Easter decorations that cheer your chosen haven, and a welcome basket stuffed with sourdough hot cross buns.
Meanwhile, if you’ve got a soft spot for cute farm animals, there’s a quirky retreat parked in rural Somerset… adjacent to a shelter where Coloured Ryeland lambs are due to be born in the first weeks of April.
We’ve got many more Easter delights to show you, and since they’re all bound to be popular, we definitely recommend snapping up your favourite super-fast!
