While The Writing Shed promises to help fire your creative spirit, we think it’s only fair to warn you: its jaw-dropping location may prove far too much of a distraction!

Soothingly nestled amongst twenty acres of rolling farmland – which also contain a friendly alpaca herd – you can sit back, relax, and get lost in picture-perfect panoramic views of rural Carmarthenshire.

Just seven miles from the charming market town of Narberth, and with some of the loveliest beaches of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in ridiculously easy reach, there are also plenty of tempting ways to keep you and your loved one occupied.

(And did we mention there’s a stargazing telescope in the bedroom, too?)

Meanwhile, the lounge is furnished with cosy seating, Wi-Fi and and a TV, while the cwtch (Welsh for ‘snug’) features a log burner and a sofa that are perfect for long, chatty evenings filled with wine and laughter…

…as huge windows allow you to stay on top of those views, no matter what mood the weather happens to be in.

The downy superking bedroom is equipped with luxurious furnishings, an armchair for curling up with a good book (when you’re not writing one yourself, that is!) and a skylight, for mesmerising views of the morning canvas.

More information

Freshen up in the stylish en-suite, then wander to the kitchen to whip up a hearty kind of breakfast that’ll set you up for the day ahead. With a counter stove, two hobs, a microwave and equipment all at your disposal, it’ll be a cinch.

There’s a private decking area outside if you prefer al fresco dining, complete with a barbecue and firepit. And if you decide to stay put, you might find the private riverbank (with fishing rights) is a soothing way to spend a few hours… when you’re not meeting those gorgeous alpacas and feeding them treats!

Rather get out and explore? There’s an intriguing wealth of country-and-coastal walking and cycling routes almost on the doorstep, so make sure you’ve packed accordingly.

Wales is also ‘castle country’, of course, and you won’t be disappointed with the selection close by, which includes the romantic ruins of Carew Castle, and the enchanting Manorbier Castle, which overlooks a sandy cove.

By now, you may see what we mean about the potential to get distracted from your creative efforts at The Writing Shed! But we’re willing to bet you won’t feel too worried, since your mind will be lovingly chronicling a wonderful holiday story… one you’ll remember for a long time to come.
