A tranquil suburb of Stoke-on-Trent, Trentham enjoys an idyllic, upmarket ‘village’ atmosphere, characterised by ornate gardens, and the River Trent running peacefully through.
You’ll find The Old Watermill perfectly positioned here, cosily furnished and brimming with fascinating original features, to sleep up to five lucky guests.
Beautifully styled as a charming rural cottage, you’ll make your entrance at the top of a small set of steps, straight into the comfy open-plan living space. Traditional oak beams evoke an irresistibly warm atmosphere right away, and there’s a log-burning fire to give your evenings a hazy glow, as you curl up in front of the Smart TV.
Wander through to the kitchen/diner, with its sociable dining table, vintage-style crockery, cheerful bunting, and a well-equipped country kitchen… perfect for whipping up wholesome family feasts.
When you’re all talked and feasted out, simply head up to the second floor, where you’ll find two elegant bedrooms ready and waiting. The master room features a downy kingsize bed, and there’s a second family bedroom, furnished with a double and a single.
After a dreamy night’s sleep, freshen up in the first-floor bathroom, then take your time over a hearty home-cooked breakfast – you’ll need it, if you’re going out to explore the local area!
Not that that’s the only option, of course. You could always take it easy, and stroll through the shared gardens instead. Here you can watch the local wildlife go about its day, with a meandering stream as your soundtrack.Keep reading
