More information

After a long day exploring your enchanting surroundings, curl up in the downy double bed, and get ready to begin all over again!

Mornings are well eased into with fresh coffee out on your large, secluded deck, listening to the birds’ joyful chorus. When you’re ready, rustle up a hearty breakfast in that gorgeous kitchenette – you’ll definitely need it, if you’re planning to lace up those walking boots again.

If you’ve decided to take the car, a 20-minute drive through charming country lanes will take you straight into Bath, a World Heritage site peppered with honey-hued Georgian architecture and gorgeous green spaces.

A further ten minutes away lies Westonbirt, the National Arboretum, which is home to 2,500 different species of trees from all over the world. Or how about pretending you’re landed gentry for the day, with a trip to Dyrham Park – a National Trust stately home with magnificent gardens to take a turn around? Other local National Trust hotspots include Lacock Abbey and Castle Combe.

The Loft’s friendly owners will also be more than happy to supply you with information about the very best local places to drink, dine, and hole yourselves up in if travelling further afield isn’t quite your thing. There is a ‘secret’ wild swimming spot just 20 minutes’ walk away… just ask for details!

But for now, simply pour another glass of wine and get lost in romantic conversation with the one you love, dreamily surrounded by the ultimate in comfort and luxury.

Things to note

Check in after 4pm, check out by 10am. Well-behaved dogs may be accepted for an additional cleaning fee, to be agreed on booking. Please note that the property is set above a storage block that is an outbuilding of the owners’ house, but there is plenty of space for you to enjoy maximum privacy throughout your stay. The Loft is not set up for children, so they must be supervised at all times, particularly in the garden and out on the deck, which has a steep drop.
