The Cider Shed
- Sleeps: 2
- Bedroom: 1
- Bathroom: 1
- Minimum stay: 2 nights
You’ll find The Cider Shed nestled on a hillside in the charming Gloucestershire village of Slad, once the home of author Laurie Lee (who penned the classic ‘Cider with Rosie’).
Pet-friendly and private, you’ll feel as though you’ve escaped to another world as you arrive at this beautiful light-filled barn conversion. Formerly a humble home for cider-destined apples, these days you’ll find plenty of stylish luxuries that will tempt you to stay put all holiday long.
Features include a polished and heated floor, a rainfall shower for two, and a designer super kingsize bed. Oh, and not forgetting the huge glass sliding doors that allow you to open up the entire home, welcoming in all the fresh air-filled beauty of those glorious valley views.
There is much to see and do in the surrounding area if you can tear yourselves away, including four beautiful nature reserves. Your holiday home crosses all four, as part of the popular Laure Lee Wildlife Way, and you’ll find a handy map is provided if you’ve remembered to pack those walking boots.
Yet if all you wanted to do was drink in those views (along with a welcome bottle of bubbles) all holiday long…well, we wouldn’t blame you!
