Set within five acres of open space, you’ll even have the chance to relax on your very own sandy beach, and even take a refreshing dip in your secret swimming bay should the mood take you! Kayaks, bodysuits and fishing equipment are provided too, just in case you decide to get up close and personal with those wonderful sea views, or catch your meals.

Open, welcoming and spacious, you’ll find The Box House maximises all the beauty of its surroundings, with floor-to-ceiling windows that allow sunshine to flood inside. A loft-style, open plan living and dining area is the perfect spot to relax over drinks and snacks in lazy sofas, with beautiful views that look out over your private bay, Atlantic islands and the nearby village. You’ll find a selection of books provided too, just in case you tire of all that amazing scenery!

Preparing group feasts is effortlessly easy with the well-equipped kitchen and sociable dining table…with a highchair included for smaller guests.

After a sizzling barbecue under the stars (sun loungers are also provided for daytime idleness), choose your sleeping space from four stylishly furnished bedrooms. The master bedroom looks out over a sandy cove…what a wonderful way to wake up!

In case sea swimming doesn’t quite grab you, you’ll find a wind-protected sun deck that features a heated swimming pool, with an interconnected pool house and sauna – ideal if you need to keep your eye on younger swimmers, yet you still feel the need to indulge.

Meanwhile, head along your private boardwalk to a sea deck nestled within the rocks on the ocean front, and let yourself be carried away on daydreams (or a kayak if you prefer!). Why not take yourself whale watching over at nearby Cape Breton or the Bay of Fundy?

Further afield, you’ll find the bustling city of Halifax is close enough to access easily, without imposing on all that paradise you’ve discovered at The Box House. You’ll find local shops, bars and grocery stores within 45 minutes of the house, along with plenty of museums and historic towns to explore.

Lovers of wildlife will of course revel in all the bird and marine life watching opportunities all around, with the National Park at Cape Breton a particular haven.  

In all, windswept relaxation and adventure don’t come very much more luxurious than those you’ll find at The Box House, so if you’ve got something to celebrate (or even if you haven’t!) why not organise a reunion and head straight for the refreshing ocean waves?
