Not only was each retreat exquisitely hand-crafted by Devon craftsmen, using local resources, but they’ve also been filled to the brim with luxury. Think al fresco pizza ovens, indoor cinema projectors, wood burners and a choice of opulent bathing inside, or under a softly-twinkling blanket of stars.
With a choice of gorgeous gold roll-top bathtub by your bed and terrace bath under the stars, as well as private scenic courtyard – complete with a wood-fired hot-tub – Nest Treehouse is the epitome of holiday indulgence. Boasting fantastic outdoor terrace and garden, Cosy Cowshed is the ultimate family hideaway in the countryside. Featuring a downy superking bed and movie projector, the living room opens straight out onto the terrace, which also comes complete with a Hikki hot tub. Cuddle up on an oversized sofa at the front of the fire, or enjoy a glass of wine watching the stars from the outdoor sofa – the choice is yours. Meanwhile, the twin room has an enchanting canopy that the children will love drifting off to sleep under.
What else? Each retreat is perfect for intimate celebrations of birthdays, anniversaries or minimoons, and extras such as candles and celebration banners are complimentary.
There are telescopes, so you can take full advantage of your location in a designated Dark Skies area. There will also be chilled bubbles and a welcome treat ready and waiting to greet you, with the opportunity to arrange all manner of extras to make your stay even more special! These range from hot-tub pre-warming and in-retreat massages, to food boxes, pizza kits, and private chef hire.
In the mood to explore? You’ll have access to an idyllic network of meandering woodland paths and sweet-scented wildflower meadows to discover, while a ten-minute walk along the river will lead you into quaint, bustling Hartland village.
With some of Devon’s most beautiful beaches, including Sandymouth and Westward Ho! also in easy reach too, you may feel like you never want to go home again!

‘From’ price is based on The Cowshed, and the Treehouse pricing starts from £360 per night. Check in at 4:30pm, check out by 10am. A range of items for children, including highchairs, cots, and booster chair cushions, can be provided on request. Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay in each retreat for an additional charge, with blankets, bed, water bowls and treats provided – plus light-up dog collars for night-time toilet trips!
