Better still, your location is truly magnificent. Positioned on a working farm at the southern foot fells of Blencathra, one of the most impressive fells in the Northern Lakes, this is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that promises to take your breath away.
You’ll board your bright red fire truck via the charming patio area…ideal for scenic stargazing, al fresco dining and lazy afternoons with your favourite book. Inside, the open-plan living area is filled with authentic delights, including replica tiled ceiling cables and the aforementioned pole. Meanwhile, squishy beanbags and a comfy sofa that converts into a double bed provide plenty of curling-up spots in front of the Smart TV.
The kitchen and dining area are perfect catching-up points, as you whip up fiery feasts…while next door you’ll find a relaxing sauna room with seating and a glass door – a real treat after a long day exploring the area! There’s a generous shower room too, plus a kids’ twin room with fire engine bedsteads and sleeping bags.
Kids sound asleep, adults can head up the ladder to the spacious master bedroom, equipped with a downy kingsized bed, a TV, dressing table and the gated (and lockable!) pole.
Slide down to a hearty breakfast, and then it’s time to get out and fire-proof the local area! You’ll find some amazing walking routes that begin right from your truck, taking you onto the Blencathra fells…an ideal spot for updating your Instagram account with envy-inducing pictures.

Newlands Adventure Centre and Go Ape are both on hand for thrill-seekers, while if you don’t want to stray too far, the charming village of Threlkeld is a mere mile away, home to two popular pubs with delicious food menus.
