A former telephone exchange, the cottage has been expertly transformed into the perfect setting for romantic coastal fairytales, boasting magical sea views that spirit you far away from everyday life.

Happily, you can savour that jaw-dropping seascape whatever the weather. The sunroom’s huge glass doors turn rain and stormclouds into captivating entertainment as you enjoy a home-cooked meal, or cradle a steaming mug of hot chocolate on the sofa.

(Don’t worry: there’s also a comfy living room with a wood-burner and a 52″ Sky TV, for when the sun has finally set!)

On sun-dappled mornings, simply head out to the deck and watch your cares drift away on the coastal breeze, as you sit back and relax with your loved one over that first coffee of the day.

There’s also a private hot tub to help lazy summer’s evenings – and dreamy nights of stargazing – along.

With the cottage perfectly positioned on the Southern Upland Way, you’re in a fantastic location for breezy clifftop and moorland walks galore. Just remember to take your camera, as the scenery here is truly spectacular.

Wander three miles into the picturesque harbour village of Portpatrick, or jump in the car to visit the bustling town of Stranraer, where you can shop ‘til you drop. You could even plan a day trip across to Ireland, direct from nearby Cairnryan Beach.

But if all that sounds a little too much, you’ve always got the option of packing a tasty picnic and heading down to the sandy beach at Knock Bay, a mere five-minute stroll away.  

Here you can watch the comings and goings of the local bird life (you may even spot the occasional seal or minke whale!) and get lost in blissful reconnection with the one you love, surrounded by the most heavenly scenery imaginable. Pure holiday bliss.
