A cheerfully converted vintage American school bus, solar-powered and beautifully nestled in a rural setting for fun-filled family adventures.
  • Sleeps: 6
  • Bedroom: 1
  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Cleverly named after the Greek God of the sun, Phoebus is a beautifully converted, vintage American school bus that’s solar-powered for joyful, off-grid family escapes.

Nestled on a private estate in Inkpen and surrounded by peaceful Berkshire countryside, there’s plenty of fresh-air adventure to be enjoyedwhether you’re a walker, cyclist, paddler or just someone who just loves the great outdoors

Happily, you’ll discover plenty of creature comforts on board the iconic yellow bus, too. Along with the obligatory kettle and toaster, kitchen facilities include a fridge, a 4-hob induction cooker, and a full-sized oven. Though on summer evenings, you might prefer whipping up an al fresco feast on the campfire or barbecue instead.

You’ll also have a bathroom to freshen up in (this is glamping, after all!), including a flushing loo and a washbasin, plus a separate cubicle that houses a high-pressure shower with a ready supply of piping hot water.

What about sleeping spots? Creatively positioned to save space, you’ll find enough for up to six guests.

Adorned with plump cushions, there’s a comfy 6ft single sofa bed – and if needed, a second can be created from two chairs with a table in-between. If you prefer a superking, you can simply use the dining table-tops to join the two single bunks together.

There are also two single bunk beds, each with their own privacy curtain, a USB charger, and a soft reading light. Last but by no means least is a downy superking bed right at the back (the best part of any bus!) with plenty of storage space, and a floor-to-ceiling curtain.
