If you’re looking for a nature-inspired family or group escape full of fun, creativity and indulgence all rolled into one, look no further than Jollydays Glamping – your 200-acre North Yorkshire home-from-home that promises to transform your expectations of the Great Outdoors!
You’ll be in exceptionally good hands at Jollydays, a family-run camp lovingly nurtured by Christian and Carolyn Van Outersterps, award-winning ex-designers who started their beloved Jollydays back in 2008. They have since earned accolades and endless repeat visitors through their firm focus on fun and comfort alongside their trademark attention to style.
On site, you’ll find unique, all-season outdoor accommodation in styles to suit all tastes, generously spaced over 15 acres of the 200 acre woodland, leaving you with plenty of room to unwind and take in the refreshingly authentic sights, sounds and smells of nature – the perfect antidote to a hectic suburban lifestyle!
To maintain respect for the natural environment, Jollydays is proud to be a member of the Green Tourism Business Scheme, the only scheme of its kind to have been validated by Visit Britain.
The communal evening campfire is where everybody congregates for that all-important marshmallow toasting…and who knows what firm friends you’ll make, whether it’s the family across the way, or even a passing fox or hare! Hot water is readily provided, as are comfy beds with fresh bedding, for a cosy night under the stars.
Warm and opulent, the magical Woodland Bothies each boast two luxurious double bedrooms and a double sofa bed, a huge wood-burning stove, a handy kitchenette, and hot running water… perfect for filling up your indulgent roll-top bath! You’ll also have a gorgeous elevated veranda to help you keep an eye on the local wildlife, with a barbecue for sizzling sunset suppers.
Much bigger than a traditional shepherd’s hut are the cosy and spacious Woodcutter’s Huts, sleeping four people on one kingsize bed and a double sofa. Double-glazed with warm tweed décor, these huts have a homely feel you’ll find hard to leave. Along with gas rings and a barbecue (with awning over your generous deck that means al fresco meals can be enjoyed no matter what the weather is like!), there’s a small woodburning stove to keep everyone toasty. You’ll also have your own private bathroom in the sumptuous, hand-painted bath house.
