Blissfully secluded in the fresh heart of Wiltshire countryside, Hyggee House occupies a mesmerising location right next to a shimmering lake, with dreamlike woodland surroundings that make your soul feel immediately lighter.
It doesn’t hurt that the house itself is imbued with the ‘wow-factor’ either, sporting natural cladding for a sumptuous Alpine-lodge feel, spectacular floor-to-ceiling glass doors, and a wrap-around terrace that means you can track the sun as it makes its languorous way across the sky.
The magnificence only continues once you’ve crossed the enchanting wooden footbridge and stepped inside. Stylish and contemporary, the underfloor-heated rooms flood cheerfully with natural daylight, and you’ll discover expertly-curated artwork adorning the walls.
A sociable open-plan living space offers sweeping views across the lake, verdant house plants adding to the relaxing feel of being at one with nature, and there’s a statement log burner to warm your evenings, as you chat and unwind amongst velvet cushions and soft throws.
You’ll find the stunning kitchen gainfully equipped for feasts of every description, which you can savour at the centrepiece dining table, overlooking those glass doors for a feast that satisfies the eyes as well as the palate!
After dinner, grab a book and get comfy in the snug room, where you can also take in a movie if you feel so inclined. The master bedroom is on the first floor, too: a boutique wonder with a superking bed, a walk-in wardrobe, and an en-suite bathroom with a gleaming copper tub.
Don’t worry if you missed out on claiming the master, though, as the remaining ground-floor bedrooms are every bit as elegant: all featuring downy superking beds (two rooms can also be made into twins if preferred), and all featuring access to that beautiful lake-view terrace.

Perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails alike, you may feel you never want to leave this amazing al fresco setting! But if you do manage it, you can head into the towns of Devizes or Marlborough for shopping and coffee-stops, or take invigorating walks in the North Wessex Downs.
Slightly further afield, the UNESCO World Heritage site of Stonehenge is a mere 20 miles away, or you could visit the ancient Roman city of Bath for a captivating day filled with historic delight.
