Blissfully secluded near Thakeham in West Sussex, Gruff Unplugged Cabin is only around an hour away from London. Yet as soon as you arrive, you’ll feel like you’ve been spirited far, far away from the relentless hustle and bustle of the city.

Perfect for social-media addicts, couples, busy workers and solo travellers who want to get back to the people they truly are, the sleek, off-grid cabin contains a lock box – in which your phone will remain for the next three days!  

You’ll replace it with a map of the local area, a Polaroid camera to record your endless adventures, and a retro Nokia… for use only if you need to get in touch.  

Oh, and since the cabin is dog-friendly, you can reconnect not only with yourself and/or your loved one, but your best four-legged friend.

Constructed from locally-sourced, low carbon impact materials, and to a circular economy approach, everything you’ll find inside the cabin has been thoughtfully and responsibly chosen. Even the firelighters are eco-friendly!

And although there’s no TV or Wi-Fi, you’ll be left with plenty to keep you entertained – long, laughter-fuelled conversations with your loved one aside.  

Gaze out of the enormous window, play cards, indulge your competitive spirit with a board game, or get lost in a good book, with a glass of wine and your chosen soundtrack on the old-school cassette player.

After a long day of hiking and picnicking amongst sublime nature, or perhaps visiting the local vineyards, you’ll find the cabin’s kitchen gainfully equipped for all manner of hearty feasts. There’s also plenty of loose-leaf tea and fresh artisan coffee, to help start your mornings with a spring in your step.

Oh, and did we mention that your bed is not only dressed in sumptuous, hotel-quality linen, but positioned right next to that panoramic window, for the dreamiest of dreamy views?

Facilities-wise, you’ll also have a hot shower – towels and toiletries included – and a Scandi superloo, meaning you can freshen up with ease and style.
