Cuddfan Eco Lodge
- Sleeps: 4
- Bedroom: 1
- Bathroom: 1
- Minimum stay: 2 nights
Meaning “hiding place” in English, Cuddfan is an inventive yet comforting A-frame eco-lodge that’s completely off-grid, and completely surrounded by picture-perfect Carmarthenshire countryside.
Nestled in the ancient coastal town of Kidwelly, here you can savour views that lead your gaze all the way out towards Pembrokeshire and the Preseli Hills, as you cradle your holiday tipple of choice and get lost in lazy conversation.
Sleeping up to four guests in a double bed and a double sofa bed, Cuddfan is the ideal retreat for two couples or a small and adventurous family. There’s a toasty, soft-glowing wood-burning stove to relax around, plenty of solar-powered comfort, and plenty of quirky delights to explore!
These include an external shower and a waterless loo, and a horsebox converted into a well-equipped kitchen/diner… though if the sun is out, you’ll surely want to grab an al fresco picnic table for your meals instead.
After a long day of getting up close and personal with the area – Kidwelly Castle and Parc Stephens are highly recommended, as are the local food-serving pubs – all that’s left to do is light the firepit, prepare some marshmallows for toasting, and unwind under a twinkling blanket of stars for pure holiday bliss.
