Host Unusual Stays as seen on Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing

17 October 2021

Nominated for several BAFTAs since its first airing in 2018, Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing is a popular TV show, in which much loved comedians Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse while away some time by the river.

Ostensibly about fishing, the show is really about male friendship, with gentle ruminations on life and love set against a glorious countryside backdrop.

We’re incredibly proud that so many Host Unusual properties have featured on this much-loved show… our site is regularly frequented by TV researchers on the lookout for something truly out of the ordinary!

So here’s a rundown of the unique Host Unusual retreats featured across the show’s four series (so far!), including Wee Retreat, a quirky conversion of a Victorian toilet block, and Round The Woods, a gorgeous Norfolk glampsite that featured in the very first episode.
