New to Host Unusual: Rustic Huts, Beach Houses and Party Glamping

04/10/2017 New to Host Unusual: Rustic Huts, Beach Houses and Party Glamping

Our search for new accommodation takes us South today, with properties in Oxfordshire and Suffolk that all embrace their privileged settings to create perfect spaces to enjoy, from a rustic and off-grid shepherd's hut for two where you can switch off from the world, to a TV-featured and charming nautical cottage a stone's throw from the beach. Finally, a group adventure staying in a variety of quirky accommodation including ex-Army trailers and a hippy caravan, all set in the Oxfordshire countryside.

Abbey Shepherd's Hut

Resting in a rural space with plenty of beautiful Suffolk countryside around to enjoy, this charming shepherd's hut is ideal for those who feel the need to escape to the country but with an added touch of sophistication on the side. With your own private shower room, and toilet/kitchen facilities just a short stroll away in Abbey Hall, all you need for a comfortable stay is included. The pretty town of Eye is just a 10-minute walk away and has a typical English country feel with antique shops, delis, and that obligatory country pub to lose a Sunday afternoon in.

Seahorse Cottage

Aldeburgh is one of Suffolk's most treasured spots, and any fans (big or small!) of the TV series 'Grandpa in My Pocket' will recognise this iconic property instantly, with its pretty sea-facing veranda and nautical balcony. This unique New England and Scandinavian inspired holiday home has recently undergone extensive refurbishment, making it an excellent choice for a family of four looking to explore Suffolk's miles of beautiful coastline and beaches. Occupying a prime spot overlooking Moot Green towards the beach, guests can of course enjoy excellent sea views without even leaving the house!

Glamping Thorpe

Start gathering your troops and planning an unmissable adventure in the Oxfordshire countryside at the utterly quirky Glamping Thorpe! Set on a pretty Georgian farm on the Northamptonshire/North Oxfordshire border, here you will discover two separate glamping fields, each with different unique group accommodation to enjoy.  The Party field contains a horse lorry, love shack, shepherd's hut, bell tents and hippie caravan for up to 20 revellers (perfect for hens!), whilst the Army field has a variety of cleverly converted army trailers sleeping groups of up to 10 budding recruits.
