New to Host Unusual: Cabin chic, eco-glamping and a fairytale chateau

07/11/2017 New to Host Unusual: Cabin chic, eco-glamping and a fairytale chateau

Autumn is now firmly upon us and we have yet more tantalising locations to tease you with, whether for a winter break or some early summer planning. We start with two locations in Norfolk, one a uniquely crafted cabin with concrete floors, wooden floors and stylish interiors - followed by a true eco glamping escape offering tree tents, hammock huts, bell tents and more. Finally, we head west to North Wales to marvel at a grandiose Chateau with mountain views, fit for even the most discerning prince or princess.

The Cabin at Bliss Blakeney

The owners of this exceptional cabin have a history of working in creative industries so it goes without saying that this is reflected in the style and finesse of their unique hideaway, as recommended by Conde Nast. Nestled in a prime spot in Norfolk and set in 16 acres of private coastal land, The Cabin at Bliss Blakeney (above and main pic) is a vibrant and sociable space, uniquely constructed with wood-clad walls and bursts of colour. Its five suites are all deftly designed and luxuriously appointed, making it easy to feel spoilt - and all come with en-suite bathrooms with rainfall showers for total comfort. As for the master suite, with freestanding bath and private deck, well, you'll never want to leave!

Wardley Hill Campsite

With a rural setting to die for close to Norfolk's glorious beaches, and with unbeatable vistas of Waveney Valley, Wardley Hill is a true eco-retreat with excellent green credentials. Composting toilets from reclaimed timber, recycling facilities and even fire pits cleverly upcycled from old washing machines are all found here, and you'll definitely leave with some new eco-ideas to try and put into practice. The accommodation ranges from a tree tent and cosy hammock hut to a shepherd's hut, plus a family bell tent with plenty of space for four guests. The onsite library is the perfect place to relax, and a new boat will be ready for the Springtime.

Chateau Rhianfa

With a perfect setting by the stunning waters of Angelsey in the Snowdonia region, Chateau Rhianfa effortlessly fuses Welsh tradition with French-style charm, taking its inspiration from the Loire Valley. Every bit the fairytale castle, this is a Grade II listed building with incredible views and surrounding scenery that befit its lavish design. Choose from French-styled rooms in Rhianfa Lodge, Chateau Suites (one even with its own turret daybed!) and self-catering cottages, each offering something a bit different. With the snowy mountain views beckoning, we're sure you'll be keen to explore this beautiful region - and what a base to return to!
