Revel in your own glorious stretch of green Monmouthshire meadow, with a cosy shepherd's hut stay that's rich in rural romance.

Sleeping two guests in perfect comfort, everything about Anne's Hut compels you to relax.

First off are the soothing surroundings, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Wye Valley. You'll find Anne's Hut, two snug shepherd's huts connected by decking, blissfully - and totally - secluded in a green meadow, and on the edge of an ancient wood.

Next up are the irresistibly cosy creature comforts, all perfectly spaced in the single-level huts.

The first hut is home to the main living, dining and sleeping area, which features a crackling woodburning stove and a downy, beautifully dressed superking bed. There's a well-equipped kitchen space, too - perfect for whipping up mouthwatering meals.

The second hut is the luxury bathroom and dressing area, complete with a double-ended bath (there's a strategically-placed window to showcase those gorgeous green views!) and a roomy walk-in shower.

The décor throughout is soft-toned, warm and natural, with high-end fixtures and fittings that ensure you'll have everything you need to enjoy a soothing stay.

Sit outside on the decking, cradling your morning coffee amidst the sound of joyous birdsong - and absolutely nothing else!

Just below the huts is a stargazing firepit, along with some comfy chairs, and a hammock that's ideal for long, lazy afternoon naps in the sun...or simply curling up with a good book.

You'll have two bicycles at your disposal, and with an area this stunning, you'll no doubt want to explore!  Head for the Royal Forest of Dean to immerse yourselves in some amazing cycle paths, or head for the sculpture trail if you prefer rambling on foot.

Steeped in history, there is a lot to see and do in the local area, including five castles within a twenty-minute drive (not to mention a Michelin-starred restaurant close by, if you're in the mood to celebrate!)

Bear in mind, however, that you don't have to travel very far to drink in some truly magnificent scenery.

Just above Anne's Hut is the ancient settlement of Penterry. Once home to a Roman fort, the site showcases jaw-dropping panoramic views that take in seven counties.
Why not stock up on supplies from the local farmers' market, then prepare a fabulous picnic to accompany the landscape?

Retreat to the firepit as the sun sets - don't forget to grab some marshmallows to toast - and swap holiday stories as the first stars appear in the night sky. With a stay at Anne's Hut, romantic rural bliss can truly be yours.
