Bradford Old Windmill - enjoy the gentle breeze through charming Bradford on Avon, with a tranquil break in the town's quirky and much-loved landmark.

No longer a working mill, the four-storey stone tower nestled within the trees on a lush hillside still forms an impressively grand picture. Complete with its conical stone tiled roof and pointed Gothic windows, you'll know you've arrived somewhere very special indeed.

Overlooking the quaint medieval town of Bradford on Avon and close to the city of Bath, the former windmill holds many clues to its former life as a 19th century windmill, including an oak sail gallery.

Bradford Old Windmill caters for families and couples alike, with en-suite accommodation to suit both. For couples, there's a romantic double bedroom, the circular Great Spur - featuring a round bed that's fit for a King!

Great Spur comprises the entire grinding floor in the old mill tower and is 19ft in diameter, so luxuriously spacious, yet infused with a wonderful feeling of cosiness. Paired windows set within the stone walls offer stunning views.

Families will love the Fantail Suite, complete with separate bedroom, lounge and bathroom. Perfectly roomy, you can bring as much luggage as you like with you and get ready to spread yourselves out!

Fantail's bedroom features high ceilings and charming pointed windows that look out towards Salisbury Plain - a wonderful view to wake up to from your Gothic-style iron framed bed.

The kids will enjoy Fantail for its sense of adventure... they can access their curtained gallery sleeping space in the bedroom via a special ladder. A magical space for children over 6 years old, the gallery is equipped with a 3-metre long cabin bed, along with plenty of books and toys, meaning they'll be perfectly cosy and occupied while you relax in the adjacent lounge.

Enjoy a homemade breakfast after a sound night's sleep, around a communal refectory table on colder days, and al fresco on the terrace when the weather is warm - a real treat. You'll find all tastes are catered for...horribly healthy or naughtily unhealthy, vegetarian or vegan - the choice is yours!

Following your hearty breakfast, why not set about exploring the area? There are many pubs and restaurants for you to while away your holiday hours, and the surrounding countryside, dotted with mellowstone cottages and footpaths, is a walker's paradise - this is definitely not the place for those who don't want to leave their cars!

However, if you do feel like venturing further afield, the city of Bath is within a ten-minute train ride (or within a ten-mile towpath walk if you're feeling energetic!) - or how about a visit to the invigorating Cotswolds, Longleat, Wookey Hole or Cheddar Gorge, all under two hours away?

Whether you're looking for a family break or a romantic retreat, you'll soon find that Bradford Old Windmill has it all covered... so plan your visit, then get ready to sit back and relax!
