You wouldn’t necessarily expect a former World War Two pump station to be featured on the pages of Elle Decoration UK and Red Magazine, with the latter declaring that “even the kettle is beautiful!”

But then, The Pump Station is quite unique. Originally built as a World War Two pumping station that sent vital fuel to support the D-Day landings, you can now expect a breathtaking and serene holiday home that’s styled to contemporary perfection.

Set on the world-renowned Dungeness Estate, a shingle beach that stretches out for three miles into the English Channel, you can expect beautiful sunsets and plenty of wildlife to feast your eyes upon…a true Instagram paradise!

Sleeping up to six adults and two children, you’ll find plenty of space to relax inside, surrounded by irresistibly soft furnishings, warm wood and soft-toned décor. High-end additions, including toasty underfloor heating and luxurious kitchen appliances, add to the smart sense of elegance throughout.

Of course, the views are nothing short of spectacular here, and with five huge floor-to-ceiling windows, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to appreciate them – whatever the weather.

Light floods the open-plan living space by day, and as the evening draws in, simply light the crackling log fire and snuggle on the sofa as you chat with your loved ones.

When it’s time to turn in, choose from three cosy bedrooms. The master ensuite is equipped with a queen-sized bed and a luxurious walk-in wardrobe, while the second ensuite room is furnished with a king-sized bed and two children’s singles (four singles can be provided on request). Finally, the third bedroom features an extra-large king-sized bed.
