Full description
A stylish, exquisitely converted vintage van secluded in a Folkestone courtyard with friendly resident chickens and an invitation to a ‘secret' cocktail bar included!

At first thought, bedding down in a 1950s Citroen van might not seem all that appealing. But that's until you've arrived in Folkestone, and discovered the stylish slice of vintage paradise you'll find here.

Your accommodation-for-two consists of the aforementioned van, beautifully refurbished and creatively styled by friendly owner David, for a ridiculously cosy glamping break.

Inside, you'll discover a comfy bed with fresh linen sheets, and cab seats with a table for catching up with each-other in blissful peace, over dinner and a glass (or two) of wine...

...though you may prefer heading outside to the courtyard instead, which is gainfully equipped with a table, chairs, and string lighting to give your al fresco evening a gorgeous glow.

What about the facilities? Well, there's a spotlessly clean shower room with a ‘proper' flushing loo, a barbecue, and a fun, fully equipped ‘kitch-shed' for all your culinary needs.

(Oh... and did we mention there's also a lovely group of resident chickens on site, ready and waiting to supply you with fresh eggs for breakfast?)

After that tasty breakfast, it's time to explore the local area.  There's such an abundance of things to see and do, that you'll be provided with a handy guide to help get you started.

First, there's the Creative Quarter, whose cobbled streets are strewn with art galleries, independent shops, eateries and studios. Or how about a trip to The Leas, Folkestone's very own ‘promenade'? Boasting lush gardens and a bandstand, you may even catch a glimpse of the French coast from its historic funicular!

Maybe you'd prefer the Harbour Arm, with its bustling collection of independent businesses, an on-site bakery and brewery, and a seasonal programme of live music and events.

But whatever else you do, we doubt you'll want to miss out on a cocktail visit to the Speakeasy... a ‘secret' prohibition-themed bar in the back of David's supremely imaginative antique shop, The Potting Shed.

(You'd usually need a password to gain entry to the bar, and they change daily... but don't worry - with an automatic booking, you'll breeze straight in!)

Whether you spend your evening supping freshly mixed cocktails at the Speakeasy, or hot chocolate under the stars, you're sure to agree that a stay at TPS Overnight isn't an average glamping break, but a gloriously immersive experience.
