Explore the natural beauty of Carmarthenshire from a rural haven where a calming river flows freely for a relaxing group break to remember.

If you've always had a sneaking suspicion about the healing powers of water, then you may find a stay in this wonderful Carmarthenshire watermill will convert you once and for all!

This four-bedroomed converted mill, which sleeps up to 8 people, is magically tucked away along peaceful narrow country lanes in a rural valley near the small town of St. Clears, creating a setting of scenic countryside tranquility right from the beginning of your break.

You'll find there's a lot to explore inside this stunning conversion, with three lovely levels of well-designed, well-furnished comfort.  The main entrance on the ground floor will lead you into the open-plan dining area, with its large, sociable table with eight chairs and friendly, full-height picture window that allows the light to stream in right along with you.  There's a traditional wooden dresser for an authentically rustic feel, and of course the all-important sofa and television area so you can retire in comfort with a coffee after a filling meal!

The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a mouthwatering selection of family feasts, with its fitted wooden cupboards, a microwave, fridge/freezer, cooker with hob, washing machine and dryer - not forgetting a dishwasher.

Leading from the dining area is the first of four bedrooms, looking out over the mill pond and waterfall.  There's a cosy double bed, matching wardrobe and personal en-suite equipped with a bath for those times when only a luxurious bubbly soak will do!

Follow the staircase up to the first floor open-plan lounge area, perfect for congregating over long chats into the night with its relaxing sofas, Sky-connected large-screen TV and DVD player, all set against an original backdrop of stone walls, wooden floorings and low beams.  Also on this level are the main bathroom featuring a bath and shower over, and two charming bedrooms, one double and one twin.

The second staircase leads you to the watermill's very own self-contained penthouse apartment featuring breathtaking views of unspoilt countryside...who will claim this first?  This contemporary living space, complete with the building's own original large vaulted ceiling and A-frame roof timbers, features a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area and a separate bathroom with bath and shower over.  There's an open-plan lounge area with a sofa and TV, and a screened sleep area with a double bed.

Outside, you'll fall in love with the sun-trap of a garden, which has plenty of space to relax or run around in (maybe even both!).  Enjoy a glass of wine or two as you unwind on the decking, taking in fresh views of the mill pond and waterfall while the barbecue cooks up a sizzling al-fresco banquet!

Finding activity, food and entertainment in the local area is easy, as the watermill is close to the historical town of Laugharne - once home to Wales' celebrated poet Dylan Thomas - as well as a wide selection of beautiful sandy beaches to explore along the South Pembrokeshire coastline, including Tenby, Saundersfoot, Coppit Hall and Pendine.  If you've got a taste for fresh fish, why not take a stroll along the river where you'll find a whole mile of lush, undisturbed trout and salmon fishing?

So come and live the perfect country life with a break in this stunning watermill in a stunning location, for a soothing holiday you'll find hard to float away from!
