Snuggle up together at Hen Wrych Hall Tower - an utterly romantic fortress for two complete with an open fire, a luxurious slipper bath and a magnificent, hand-carved four-poster bed!

Hen Wrych Hall Tower is a Grade II* listed, castellated gate tower set into the original boundary wall of County Conwy's astounding Gwrych Castle.  Set over three floors, this beautiful bolthole has been lovingly converted to offer luxurious accommodation for two, in a setting guests will never forget.

Romance, history, countryside and coastline, Hen Wrych Hall Tower has it all.  The building itself dates back to around 1822, and was designed by Lord and Lady Bamford Hesketh and prolific architect Thomas Rickman.

You'll see that every care has been taken to retain original features where possible, including one of Rickman's cast iron windows on the ground floor, the original bread oven in the kitchen, and the stunning flagstone floors.  Even the wooden front door is original; look closely, and you'll notice scratched pictures of sailing ships, most likely left by Napoleonic prisoners of war!

Through this ancient, camber-headed doorway, you'll find yourself in the cosy ground-floor living area, comprising everything you need to relax, cook, and dine in this stunning time capsule. A country-style kitchen area, complete with Belfast sink, incorporates everything in a clever arrangement, including a microwave and handy washer-dryer. Enjoy your meals at the table for two, with its pretty period upholstered chairs. Afterwards, curl up on the Chesterfield sofa in front of the television, while the log burner crackles away. Heaven!

A stunning, hand-carved mahogany staircase takes you up past stone walls to the first floor.  Here you'll find the wonderful Victorian bathroom featuring wooden floors, exposed walls and beams overhead, as well as an original Thomas Crapper toilet cistern and stunning roll-top slipper bath. There's also a small landing complete with an antique bookcase - your own private library!

From here, take the stunning staircase up again and you'll find yourself in the pièce de résistance - the magnificent Master bedroom. With its Elizabethan-style, four-poster bed and plush bed linen, there's a definite air of royalty in this beautiful bedchamber, fit for any king or queen.

Hen Wrych Hall Tower is also perfectly located for sightseeing in this beautiful part of Wales. Take a stroll through the peaceful gardens of Gwyrch Castle, or perhaps arrange a tour of this magnificent castellated home - one of the most important of its style in Britain.  With woodland and hillsides to explore nearby, there are plenty of opportunities for adventurous walkers, while golfers can work on their handicap at Abergele Golf Club.

As well as a wonderful rural location, you're also ideally placed for the north coast of Wales.  Pensarn Beach is under five minutes' walk away, while a day trip to the famous Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno - just a 20-minute drive - comes highly recommended.  Back at your tower, you're also just one mile from a range of local pubs, restaurants and shops; it couldn't be more convenient.

Hen Wrych Hall Tower is one of those places that once experienced, is never forgotten. So when you want to spoil the very special person in your life, treat them to a stay in this historical bolthole.  They will forever thank you for it!
