Pevensey Beach Lodge
England / Pevensey Bay, Sussex
Full description
Pevensey Beach Lodge - a coastal cabin for would-be seafarers, set right on the beach for a memorable group break by the scenic shore.
With direct access to the peacefully picturesque Pevensey Bay shingle beach, those in need of an old-fashioned restorative seaside break with family or friends won't have to look any further than the light, bright, nautical-themed Pevensey Beach Lodge!
Featuring cleverly-positioned windows and clean-lined, contemporary décor to evoke all the charm of the sea even when you're indoors, this stunning lodge has been completely refurbished to provide stylish and relaxing accommodation for up to 8 people, plus one well-behaved dog.
Take the steps leading to the Lodge's entrance, and into the welcoming hallway - the perfect spot for leaving sandy shoes!
A sociably spacious open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area is the perfect place for everybody to congregate over morning coffee on the cosy sofas and beanbags (when you're not on the beach, that is). The living area features panoramic sea views through bi-folding doors...on sunny days, why not open them right up and let the sunshine and sea air come flooding in!
The kitchen area is well-equipped with all the appliances a busy family needs, including a microwave, a washer/dryer and an all-important dishwasher! There's a coffee machine for non-morning people, and a breakfast bar with stools, while the dining table is perfectly positioned for you to enjoy the views across the beautiful beach garden.
On balmy summer evenings, why not head outside to the garden and its decked area for a sizzling beachside barbie, Aussie-style, with the seagulls and the Lodge's Bose speaker setting the perfect background mood?
When it's time to turn in, you'll find three beautiful bedrooms, one king-sized, one double, and one featuring two sets of bunk beds. The family-sized bathroom is the ideal place to wash sandy feet, and there's an additional WC to avoid those early-morning queues!
Along with the beach, you'll find a shop, pub and restaurant within easy walking distance - so beach lovers can get on with enjoying Pevensey Bay in all its glory. How about a spot of swimming, sailing or fishing to get you started?
For those who prefer a historical edge to their holiday, a visit to Pevensey village, with its striking English Heritage castle, is a must, whilst slightly further afield and along the coast are the bustling towns of Eastbourne and Bexhill-on-Sea. Bexhill's chic De La Warr Pavilion is now a contemporary gallery and a must-see for art lovers!
Family adventurers will enjoy spending the day at Drusilla's Park at nearby Alfriston, with its family splash park and friendly animals in their natural environments.
With so much to see and do all around, a family seaside adventure at Pevensey Beach Lodge is surely not to be missed, so pack up your bucket and spade and get ready for fun!
Things to note
One dog is permitted and charged at £20 for up to 7 night stays, no minimum stay requirements, no smoking allowed.
